Alcântara means bridge in Arab. So this is the bridge neighbourhood and in fact the famous 25th April bridge is situated here! Located just 10 minutes from the historical city centre, this part of the city offers the best places to go out during the night. You have the Docks under the bridge with many bars, restaurants and discos like the very famous disco “The Kremlin “and “The Kapital”. This is a great place for nightlife! You can profit from the magnificent view of the bridge and the sunset. Nearby you have the wonderful neighbourhood of Belem very close to Alcântara that you can even reach  there walking, near the river!
